Brian Fowler Honoured in Southland
13 Nov, 2002 - KT
The organisers of the Tour of Southland recognised the achievements of Brian Fowler at the conclusion of this year's tour. Fowler has ridden in something like 14 tours (correct me if I'm wrong) and won around 68 stages. One of those stage wins came this year into Tuatapere (pictured). Brian has represented NZ on numerous occasions and been runner up in the Commonwealth Games road race on three occassions. As well as this he caught the eye of many a pro while racing in Europe. Fowler probably won't be riding Southland next year, although you can't be sure as he is still in pretty good nick.
