Paul Medhurst Passes Away
7 Oct, 2009 - Tim Pawson

Kiwi track cycling pioneer Paul Medhurst passed away last week whilst in Oostakker, Flanders Belgium at just 55 years of age and whilst visiting his son Darren.  The track six day specialist of the early 80's was a household name on the Belgian, UK and Dutch circuits and was a racing partner of World Champion Australian Danny Clark.  Paul was a strong supporter of grass roots cycling in NZ and put a lot of time into coaching junior programmes on his retirement from elite racing.

Our thoughts go out to Pauls family at this time.
