Now available in NZ, the wheelset of several elite athletes including National elite triathlon Champion Debbie Tanner, Sam Warriner., the professional team of Claudio Chiapucci.
The 420's (pictured) are the lightest clincher deep sections available that are a one piece construction, at 1455 gramms this is 215g lighter than the KsyriumSL ! The aero deep section of the rim (38mm) provides a sleek leading edge and will give another 2-3 km at 35-40kmh! The hubsets are CNC machined from alloy and come standard with wide spaced sealed bearings, the front micro hub is laced radially whilst the rear mega hub with 17mm oversized axle is crossed for added stiffness.
The Sprint 350 utilises the same hubset as the 420 but runs a shallower rim at 24mm deep. The spoking pattern uses a more traditional build with 28 holes in the front and 32 in the rear. Weighing in at 1331 grams and selling for only $799 this is one very affordable upgrade.
Due in May the Magnesiums will create a new standard in lightness all of their own. At 1223 grams these things accelerated so fast in the test that getting back up to speed after corners or jumping out of the saddle during climbing was unbelieveable.
Test ride a set of these at your nearest dealer, truely fantastic ride.
